Season Diary 5

Entry #5

Revengey! Thats all i am going to say about our next round opponents Celtic. Well heres hoping anyway, Billy Brown is in the papers today saying that this is the draw we werent wanting and he is right. On the tv last night he was being a bit negative about our chances but fuck that, we have a great chance, its at home after all.

yeah we beat Aberdeen, easy actually, 4-2 going on 10-2 or maybe 10-6. Was a really good game, very open, one of them that the tv guys or the radio guys would have been calling a great advert for scottish football. i was there, as usual got there late, about five or ten minutes in, missed the first two goals, one for us then one for them. theirs was scored by Gary Macdonald, glad i never saw that actually but i missed big Conor Sammons first goal for Killie (saw it on news on Thursday night though, was a belter) His second and our fourth was a cracker, a great balled played through by Fow and he took it down and out muscled the Aberdeen defender, i think it was (Alex)Zander Diamond (ditch the stupid name bawjaws, it just as flashy as gold boots, you need to be a superstar to pull off Zander pal). Mehdi with a pen and Fernandez (best player on park by a country mile) got the others. Was hoping big Conor would have got his hattrick because he really looks like a player who thrives on confidence but a slight knock meant he never cam out in second half. instead we got our loan signing, Donovan Simmonds. He had a bit of a nightmare, missed a pinch when clean through and never used his pace to any sort of advantage. He will get more chances i hope but i fear another Ryan Jarvis (loan signing last seaon, pure pump). Apart from him we could have scored a barrowload in 2nd half but thought we were Arsenal, but 4-2 will do and good to get it up Jimmy Calderwood. My mate boydie who sat behind me at the match spent the whole 90 minutes watching Calderwood as he waddled around the dugout area moaning, 15 quid well spent there Boydie. Special note to Jamie hamill who was superb at left back, though i dont see it being a realistic long term option. He got the Co-op MOM which was handed out by Ally Ross who usually would be sitting with us but as i have mentioned, Ferdy was the real MOM.

Also on the Billy Brown agenda was the thing that has simmered since Sunday which i dont think i have mentioned, when Nakamura dived for his teams penalty Frazer Wright clipped him round the lug. Strachan being the twisted wee arse he is made a thing about how Nakamuras lack of reaction was astounding but failed to mention that he never reacted because he was too busy smiling having duped another ref. Brown said it was history and if it was the other way the McManus would probably have gave our Fernandez a fat lug. Know what, who cares, come on Billy boy, lets drum up some rivallry for this and some positve feeling for us killie fans, tell him Frazer wouldnt have touched him if he had simply played the game and stayed on his feet and tell Strachan, well it would be super super brilliant great if our assistant manager chap told him to "get tae fuck". Wishful thinking i suppose.

Anyway, the cup can be put past for a month, Inverness tomorrow and as usual i will be following through the portal of Soccer Saturday on Sky. games versus ICT usually have plenty of goals and are pretty close but three points would be nice.
